ASK THE DREAM LADY

Dear Dream Lady,

What does it mean if I’m dreaming of taking a trip? I’m always trying to go form the east coast to the west or from the west to the east. This dream happens over and over. I never know how I am going to go on this trip. By car, boat, plane, train, etc.? What does this mean?

After a quick discussion the dreamer acknowledged that his 90th birthday was around the corner. He repeatedly mentioned in previous conversations that he is nearing the end of his journey on the earth plane.

This prompted me to ask, bluntly but honestly, if he thought about death very often?

He readily replied that he did, and he wondered how he would die. He is ready in the sense that he’s content with his life and accomplishments and his spiritual life. He knows he is beginning to say his good byes, despite the fact longevity is in his genes. He is a curious man and is still wondering how he will go on his journey. How he will actually die. He is committed to continued attention to his dreams to discern his answers. He is a beautiful dreamer!

By sharing his dream with his family and friends, he is assisting them with the reality of his transition - whenever and however it will be.

Dear Dreamers - this is a dream!

I am going to a party with my husband. The party is a young persons’ party - meaning mostly people under 35 years old. The party is in an upper apartment - my husband  and I are going up the stairs to the apartment. On the landing is a cushioned bay window seat found in older homes. Everything is white - white walls, white steps - white landing with white cushions. Low and behold! There’s my grandpa - standing on the landing with his suitcase! Since it’s 11 pm in my dream and already past Grandpa’s bed time and the fact that it’s so unlikely that Grandpa would be at this young folks party - I couldn’t contain my surprise! “Grandpa what are you doing here?” I asked. “I’m leaving” he said. “I’m going on a trip!” We hugged and that was the end of the dream. It was not a total shock to me to learn days later of my grandfather’s passing. He had come to let me know and say goodbye. My dream has prepared me for his death.

This dream again is included in the column to remind you dreamers that the dreamer is the best interpreter of the dream! This dream was easy to interpret and gave the dream a sense of acceptance and peace regarding her loss!

Thank you for reading and sweet dreams!

The Dream Lady
