The Major Threat to Human Fertility and the Very Existence of Human Life

By Paul M. Theys

Okay, the title is a little extreme, but think about this… a recent long-term study of genetically-modified crops (GM crops or GMO) has shown that animals fed GM corn and soy have offspring with lower birth weights and some are unable to reproduce, as well as an increase in the number of miscarriages and a five-fold death/mortality rate after birth.

The study was performed by the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety; the study clearly indicated that mice fed GM corn led to lower fertility rates and body weight, a marked difference between those fed GM corn and those fed non-GM corn.  Based on the findings of this reputable study, the country of Austria has banned the import and use of genetically modified foods to protect the health of mankind and the fertility of women.

Other studies commissioned by different countries have also shown that in the third and fourth generation of animals fed GM corn and/or soy had significant difficulty reproducing, plus litter size (if they had litters) were smaller and the weight of the offspring was also less.

In his books “Seeds of Deception” and “Genetic Roulette”, Jeremy Smith documented 65 cases of serious health risks from GM products.

Some related to this article are:

In the United States, the number of miscarriages has seen a significant rise over the past 10 years.  The March of Dimes has noted an increase in the number of babies born prematurely (however, part of this could be from the increased number of women scheduling C-sections before their due date), and there has also been an increase in the number of women who seek artificial embryo implantation because of their inability to conceive otherwise.

And, the United States is the leader in the use of genetically modified foods.

Austria is the latest country to ban genetically engineered products, joining Algeria, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and China to name a few. They are also some of the healthiest countries.

Think about it.
